You will need a visa for America - which requires a visit to the consulate for a visual interview.
Visa for China is secured by mailing your application form/passport/1 photograph to the consulate - our office will give you the forms - it takes 4 days to get a visa issued.
Most ships have 2 or 3 cabins and I do advise to book 2-3 months in advance.
I will advise that it is easier to get on in Hong Kong than trying to find the wharf at a chinese port.
Insurance is compulsory and yellow fever is required.
