Hudson Strait Expedition Cruises:

Join your fellow voyagers and sail on Hudson Bay,  you will met up with local Inuits and see this virtually undiscovered part of the world.

Fly from Montreal on day 1 (Airfare to be added to cruise price)and board your expedition vessel in Kuujjuag and cruise northward exploring the Arctic coastline in search of wildlife, walking on the tundra and visiting remote, traddtional Inuit communities. Visit Cape Dorset the Inuit art capital of the world, see soapstone carvings, and fine sculptures.  You will also visit Churchill, Manitoba, where you will get a chance to be up close and personal with the beluga whales.

Spend from day 2 to day 8 sailing on the ship  - U$5395.00 per person share twin .Our office can arrange for airfares from Australia. 

On day 9 you fly back to Montreal with the group.


Northwest Passage:

Follow the footsteps of early explorers as you venture through the Northwest Passage.  Fly from Montreal and begin your voyage in Resolute Bay in the High Arctic and journey through the Canadian Arctic archipelago,  stopping at many hisoric sites along the way.  Spend a week exploring the lands and inlets throught this historic waterway.  Among the any places you may visit are Beechey Island, Victoria Point, Cambrige Bay and Prince Leopard Island, a important migratory bird sanctuary and home to thousands of thick billed murres, northern fulmars and black legged kittiwakes. 

You will have ship to shore excursions on guided zodiak boats.

Spend from day 2 to day 8 sailing on the ship - U$6195.00 per person share twin - (no airfares are included in this price) . Our office can arrange for airfares/hotel/car rental from Australia. 

 

Cruise Around Spitsbergern

10 nights ex Longyearbyen .  Go up north and see the Polar Bears.

Have a look around this mining town before you join your expedition ship for the next 10 nights - you will use the ships zodiacs to go up and see glaciers, bird life and seals.

You will also have a chance to go ashore for walks on the tundra  and see pink footed geese and kittiwakes and occasionally polar bears are seen on the glaciers.

You will also cruise up to 81 degrees north, just 540 miles from the geographic North Pole.   Polar bears inhabit this region.   You will also visit low islands where big herds of Walrus tend to congregate.  

On Day 7  you may get to see the Greeland Whales.  

On day 9  you will see up to 14 magnificient glaciers and a good chance to encounter seals and polar bears.  You may also visit the Polish research station where the staff will give you an insight into their research projects.

Day 10 - today you should see piles of  skeletons of beluga whales - the remains of a 19th century slaughter, the beluga whales are no longer hunted, so you may also see a pod of them during your cruise.

Day 11 return to Longyearbyen and disembark for the transfer to the airport for a flight back to Olso and home.
