The 800 mile expedition will take 15 days - given the practical difficulties of crossing India by land, a river cruise makes the best sense covering a vast landscape in comfort and safety and exploring the real India well off the beaten track   Join the RV  Pandaw IV which was built in 2004 and travel with 56 passengers in promonade deck staterooms - all with private facilities.

You will stop daily in smaller towns and villages to observe rural life and a variety of local cultures as you pass from region to region.

The river is Ganga Ma "Mother Ganges" Be one to touch these purifying waters and you are said to be cleansed of all sins.

You will be taken to visit temples, churches, museums and have free time to shop.

The cost of A$6500 per person twin share will cover daily sightseeing, entrance fees,english speaking guide throughout the cruise,meals as per itinerary,solf drinks and beer is provided during your cruise,transfers to and from the ship.

Or you may wish to cruise along the Mekong -  Join another Pandaw river cruise boat and  cruise between Saigon and Siem Reap in Cambodia - travel with 60 passengers for the next 8 days.  

Best time to travel  is before July  and After October  - the monsoon period in July to October.       Example of a11 day  hotel/cruise package  is as follows:

day  1   Met on arrival in Saigon and taken to your hotel

day 2 and 3  explore Saigon  by car with guide

day 4 to 8 Join your ship and travel along the lower Mekong experiencing riverside villages, fish farms, floating markets, temples, fruit orchards, Cross the Vietnam Cambodia boarder by boat and continue to Phnom Penh

day 9 to 10 visit the palaces and sights of Phnom Penh

day 11 continue by boat across Ton Le Sap Lake to Siem Reap 

day 12 to 13   Visit the ruins of Angkor Wat

day 14  met and taken to the airport
